FAQ

The answers to some common questions about the art.  If you have a question I didn't address here, please send me an email and I'll be happy to get back to you as soon as possible.

If I want a larger/smaller print size than I see in the shop, can you do a special order?

Yes, absolutely!  Please contact me via email and I will do everything I can to get you artwork that is perfect for you. Keep in mind, we can only go so large on prints, but if it's possible, I'll make it happen.

Are the prints framed?

The prints are not framed. Due to the variety of personal tastes in framing, I leave that part to the individual. The canvas prints are ready to hang without a frame, but the paper prints will want to have a frame around them.  Any images of framed artwork that may appear on this site are for display only.  Often I sell original paintings with frames, and that will always be made clear in the description.

Will you paint my favorite cow? (or dog, or goat, or...)

I do lots of custom paintings for people, and I'd be happy to talk to you about what you have in mind.  For these types of projects, I work from photographs, so it helps if you already have an image that you'd like me to use. I have completed countless commissions for people over the years, and if you send me an email, we can explore the options.

Do you provide tracking information for the shipment?

I will email you a FedEx or USPS tracking number for your order as soon as I send it. You will be able to follow the package on its journey, and know in advance when it will arrive.

Why farm animals?

Well, I adore all animals, but the farming of animals in the US is currently done in a way that I cannot accept. I believe that the cow, sheep, goat and pig (okay, all animals) are every bit as aware and emotionally intelligent as your beloved dog. I want to honor them, elevate them, and hope that people consider that they may be just as important on this planet as you and I. I am truly passionate about the well-being of all animals we share this world with. Because of this, portion of all sales is donated to animal rescue and protection organizations, so everyone can feel good about buying art, and together we can start to bring more joy and peace to this world.

Did you grow up on a farm?
No, I didn't.  I grew up in suburban New Jersey, far away from any farm, and without an understanding of where meat came from.  When I was 12, it became clear what has to happen in order for the meat to show up on the table, and I was absolutely stunned. I'm still stunned, in fact. Maybe if I grew up on a farm it would all seem just normal to me, but it doesn't. So I paint their portraits, show their beauty, and hope you'll see it too.
