Nocturne, original painting

10" x 10" oil on panel, hollyhocks dancing in front of a moon. These flowers grow like weeds in southwest Colorado, along roadsides, along driveways, and they just keep blooming! I have been known to park my car and jump out with my camera when I see a thing that I know I will paint. That's how this one started, driving up Florida Road in Durango and seeing the joyful bobbing heads of these vibrant beauties in the failing light. I couldn't resist.

This painting is finished in a simple black wood frame, and is ready to hang.
